After the released of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing, We’ve played for awhile and now it is time for the verdict of this game!
We would give it a 3.5/5 rating. It is quite a decent game for the Naruto series, however we still feel that it lacks a certain content as well as features that could be available. In anyway, we are sure that the future updates will bring this game to the next level.
We will be telling you about the game overall, and also some of the features that it has.
(Story mode, Emergency Mission)
In Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing, we can play story quest as well as emergency missions, in order to obtain new items and characters, there is also a summoning zone button below the app where you can purchase gears, and heroes by using pearls(cash currency).
Now in every solo battle, you are able to fill your 1 team with 5 characters, 2 being the main on the field characters, while the other 3 are the buddy (back row) , which can be switched with it’s front row. However all the characters HP are all added up to be your main HP, so whenever your HP hits 0, you lose the battle. You can however revive with 1 pearl.
The image on top shows the field of the battle scene, as you can see there is a unique playstyle for this game. First of all, it is a turn base battle game, you can see that on the bottom right of the character, there is a number, there is the amount of turn before that character can perform an action.
Whats amazing in this game is that, it isn’t a grid base movement. but your character can move anywhere in the screen so it actually has fluidity, The characters can work together and attack the enemy if they are within proximity. Each character also has their own range of attack and unique skills, such as Sakura for example, has a high attack range, and unique ability to heal the players that are in range. Once their chakra bar are filled, they can then perform special skills as shown below:
(5-star Sasuke skills)
The multiplayer battle, which you can host or join in story quest or emergency missions, allows you to team up with 2 other players to clear the quest. This is also quite an unique feature that most game does not have. In this mode, your first character in the team and it’s back row will be used, likewise for the other 2 player that is in the same room as you.
You will then be able to only move your character in the battle, the characters are labeled 1,2 and 3 respectively according to the room’s first, second, and third slot. It might be a little slow in this mode, however you might be able to clear harder quest with other players who might even have 6-stars characters! And it enable us to actually get a feel of reality where you can only control yourselves but not the other person.(Imagine you can control your friend, that would be hell of a scary!)
Some of the features and styles that i feel negative about are as the following:
As an avid PVP oriented player, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing does not have a PVP feature nor an arena for players to battle it out. But i must say, it’s PVE content is decent enough to cover that up for now, till they update the game in the future and have more new features.
This could be a pay-to-win game, however PVP has not been implemented, so players who actually does spends cash to get 6 stars characters would be able to clear the quests contents but should not be able to get any other rewards that could cause the game to be inbalance since there is no PVP or it’s rewards either to boost player’s game advancement further.
It isn’t exactly newbie-friendly when it comes to multiplayer, as the host can choose to kick the player that they feel isn’t good enough to complete the missions. Therefore newcomers would probably be kicked out of the multiplayer room by the host. (Do not fret! Train up more in solo missions and enhance your heroes!)
It does feel weird that the game is call Naruto Shippuden, however the content isn’t really on Shippuden, but the earlier stage of the Naruto Series, such example is the quest( Genin Grad exam test quests), it’s graphics(Naruto wearing his old costume), and their unique skills (Sasuke’s using Fire Ball jutsu). But i must say the animation was pretty decent, and perhaps in future updates, they will slowly evolve the characters and quest towards the shippuden series.
To conclude everything, If you are an avid fan of Naruto! This game is definitely for you! 🙂
