Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas on Android
Guided by the necklace of his late mother, the young boy sets off on an epic journey to find his lost father and to defeat the last sea monster born under the dark powers of Triloth. The only clues for the young boy is the necklace and also a journal that was left behind by his father.
The boy’s father left a note stating that he will be leaving for good and that his fate was tied to a monster named Oceanhorn that might have killed the boy’s mother. The young boy was directed to find the help of a hermit and to learn more about the monster. Will he be able to rescue his father?
Oceanhorn was first released for iOS in November 2013 and has now made its way onto the Android platform. The Mobile game is free to play however includes IAPs to unlock the whole story mode. We categorize the game under Buy to Play as the free content is very minimal and in order to grasp the game, you would need to purchase the full version of it.
The Gameplay and graphics of Oceanhorn follows closely to that of The legend of Zelda, where players explore dungeons, fight monsters with weapons and throw pots and things that can find, cut bushes to find hidden coins or hearts.
A sequel, titled Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, is also currently in development.
Cornfox & Bros. is a Finnish video game developer with their biggest titles, Death Rally, and Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas.
