Horror fans have a fresh reason to revisit this PS5 horror game, which launched earlier this year. The latest update arrives just before Halloween, bringing free and paid content.
Halloween: The Game has received its first post-launch content update. Developer IllFonic and co-publisher Gun Interactive have introduced a new map called “Tower Farm,” alongside several paid DLC packs and free quality-of-life improvements.
Every paid DLC pack costs $9.99, while the new map is free for all owners. “There’s no better time than Halloween to send Michael somewhere new,” said Jared Gerritzen, Chief Creative Officer, IllFonic. “The new map is open, eerie, and free for every player who owns the game. Grab your friends, find a ditch, and pray Michael doesn’t find you!”
What to expect from Halloween: The Game’s new free map and DLC?
The free map, Tower Farm, is inspired by Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. This 5th map moves the 1v4 hunt from suburban streets to a rural community near Haddonfield.
The new map features farmhouses, barns, sheds, pumpkin patches, and a trailer park. Players must navigate open fields and country roads while looking for cover from Michael Myers. It also includes a harvest festival and a lit gas station, offering new surroundings for the game’s 1v4 matches.
Alongside the free map drop, players can purchase several paid DLC additions, including two individual Michael Myers character skins, a pack featuring two playable civilian characters, and a festive Halloween costume pack, with each priced at $9.99. IllFonic has confirmed that additional post-launch updates and content drops are currently in development.
Based on John Carpenter’s iconic 1978 film, the game launched on September 8, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows. While critics have given it mixed reviews, player feedback has been more positive, with the game currently holding an average rating of 4.1 out of 5 from more than 11,000 reviews.
Halloween: The Game is available on the PlayStation Store for $39.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $59.99.
