PS5 and PS4 players are being offered free movie credit if they play PS Plus Extra game Resident Evil Village. Sony‘s sending out emails asking users to play the game by April 30 to qualify, and no, you don’t have to play the full game.
Anyone who plays Resident Evil Village from the catalog for 30 minutes will automatically qualify for a movie credit to redeem on Sony Pictures Core. The credit can be redeemed on any movie available in the library, and this offer is separate from PS Plus Premium’s lackluster movie offerings.
Now, for the fine print: players need to download the Sony Pictures Core app and have their PSN accounts linked for this to work. Your movie credit will automatically be added to the app by May 8.
This offer is being sent out to both PS Plus Extra and Premium users. Sony didn’t say whether PS Plus Essential subscribers, non-members, or anyone who owns a copy of Resident Evil Village qualify for the free movie credit.
To be on the safe side, boot up Resident Evil Village from the Extra catalog if you want a free movie.
