Clint is one of two new marriage candidates planned for the next big Stardew Valley update, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait to befriend Pelican Town’s resident blacksmith. He’s available to visit starting from day one of your new life in the valley, and his smithy isn’t a long trip from home.
Clint’s schedule and seasonal events
Rain or shine, Clint is a creature of habit and doesn’t change his schedule much. He’s almost always standing behind the Smithy counter before retiring to the Saloon at night. And aside from the usual festival dates, the only real exception to Clint’s schedule is on Winter 16 when he has an appointment at the Clinic.

Clint gift guide
Clint loves gems and smelted bars, but he’s not into flowers
Unsurprisingly, Clint isn’t really a flowers kind of guy, but he does love precious stones and refined bars of gold or iridium. Just make sure you don’t accidentally give him the unrefined stuff; he doesn’t want your handful of raw ore and stacks of coal.

Clint heart events
Clint has fewer heart events than the rest of the romanceable characters. There’s only two you’ll have to leave home for, but that should change with the Stardew Valley 1.7 update. Until then, it’s still worth building your relationship with the blacksmith so he’ll mail you a couple of recipes (one at three hearts and another at seven).

Is Clint a Stardew Valley marriage candidate?
You’ll be able to marry Clint in Stardew Valley 1.7
Clint isn’t a Stardew Valley marriage candidate yet, but he’ll join the roster of single-and-looking-to-mingle villagers in the Stardew Valley 1.7 update. The other new addition, Sandy, will join the dating pool at the same time.
All we have for now is a teaser of what Clint and Sandy will look like on their special day, should you choose to pop the question. It was part of a long list of reveals during the Stardew Valley 10th anniversary broadcast, which is still worth checking out even if you aren’t in it for the romance.
