A 2013 action game that was ported to the PS3 in 2014 is getting a surprise sequel for the PS5. H2 Interactive’s scrolling shooter Caladrius will return in 2026 with Caladrius 2: Dark Element. The first game originally launched as a timed Xbox console exclusive. Its PS3 version was titled Caladrius Blaze.
PS5 action shooter Caladrius 2: Dark Element comes more than a decade after its PS3 debut
Caladrius 2: Dark Element is being developed by Kaminari Games under the wing of H2 Interactive and original developer MOSS. A specific release date has not been announced, but we’ve been told to expect the sequel in winter 2026.
“Thirteen years after the original title made its debut, the series is reborn with a brand-new installment that further evolves the shocking experience fans remember,” H2 Interactive said in a press release. “Set in a dark gothic world where beauty and darkness intertwine, Caladrius 2: Dark Element delivers exhilarating 2D bullet-hell shooting action. Fight your way across battlefields engulfed in darkness alongside a cast of unique characters brought to life by talented new illustrators.”
