Nintendo Switch 2 has now had well over a year to bed in as a platform, and sales figures suggest that it’s doing rather well.
In fact, with 23.68 million units sold as of 30th June 2026 — surpassing GameCube’s lifetime sales in just over one year and trending better than the original Switch in its first year — you could say it’s doing extremely well, especially given all the economic obstacles and industry strife right now. Most of you reading these words probably have Nintendo’s latest console sitting beside the telly or snug in a sachel, and we’re keen to get your opinion on it.
It’s been a couple of years since we canvased NL readers’ opinions in a console-specific way, so it’s the perfect time to look back over the last 14-ish months and survey (heh) the Nintendo landscape as the end of summer draws near.
Our 2024 survey naturally focused on the previous console, so this time we’re looking primarily at Switch 2 and your impressions so far, as well as this very website and your gaming habits in 2026.
