A beloved PlayStation 5 action game just got a huge crossover addition. A fan-favorite hero is now a playable character in the game. This was revealed at PlayStation‘s State of Play on September 3. The character will be available with his previous combat skills in a new game mode.
At State of Play, PlayStation revealed that Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima will be back in a new mode for Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted as a playable character. Moreover, Sakai will have all of his four signature moves in the new mode.
Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted by Sucker Punch Productions is a brand new single-player combat mode available in the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. In the action-adventure game, players must take on roguelike roles by choosing from four playable characters. They must accept bounties with escalating difficulties and earn perks and upgrades to build their character’s strength.
What Jin Sakai brings to Ghost of Yōtei’s new survival mode
Jin Sakai’s character was added to the new survival mode in Ghost of Yōtei, retaining his original characteristics with some upgrades. The Ghost of Tsushima hunter comes with all four of his original stances when wielding his katana. These stances are Stone, Water, Wind, and Moon, which allow the character to exploit enemy weaknesses. Moreover, according to his description of the new mode, Sakai also starts with a Sticky Bomb and Hankyu.
His ultimate Dance of Wrath is also part of the new roguelike mode. This ultimate targets multiple enemies and disarms them. The hunter’s Kill Streak is Ghost Stance, which allows the player to terrify nearby enemies while killing a limited number of them with a single hit.
The other playable characters include Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato. All of them come with their own special abilities and ultimates. Regardless of which character a player chooses, gamers can create unique character builds by selecting perks.
As the game progresses, players must select between weapon mastery, gear loadouts, summons, parries, survivability, among other new perks.
The Ghost of Yotei’s Complete Edition, which contains the new survival mode, is available on the PlayStation Store for $69.99.
