Valve recently admitted that it has a problem with AI slop games and clones flooding Steam—it doesn’t know what to do about it just yet, but it at least acknowledges that it’s an issue. Now we have Roblox, speaking from the other side of that coin in its Q3 2026 shareholder letter, in which it bragged that the July release of Build, its AI-powered “prompt-to-game creation tool,” users have published more than 70,000 games.

“During the last three months, we have witnessed an inflection point in AI adoption and content generation in the gaming industry overall, and on Roblox in particular,” the letter states. “AI-enabled game creation, automation in code generation and AI supported asset creation are leading to an explosion of content. The time it takes to go from an idea to a playable game is compressing dramatically, and so is the time it takes to adapt a game for new devices.”
