Skyrim is calling once again. The Elder Scrolls Online has officially launched Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim, bringing players back to the fan-favorite region with a fresh batch of content, including previously paid DLC that is now free for everyone who owns the base game.

Available now across Mac, PlayStation, Windows PC, and Xbox platforms, the new season of The Elder Scrolls Online runs through Jan. 27, 2027. Its launch brings the Greymoor Chapter and Wolfhunter DLC into the base game, opening up more of Tamriel without requiring players to purchase the expansions separately.

What’s new in Season 2?

Greymoor is the headline addition for Skyrim fans, letting players explore Western Skyrim, visit the city of Solitude and venture into the subterranean realm of Blackreach. The Chapter also includes its storyline, the Antiquities system and the Kyne’s Aegis 12-player Trial. The Markarth DLC, which completes the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, will join the base game on November 9.

Season Two also introduces solo versions of two existing dungeons: Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices. Both feature Hircine-themed challenges, with difficulty options and new rewards for players who prefer to tackle dungeons without a group. The original four-player versions are also now accessible through the free Wolfhunter addition.

There are plenty of other rewards to chase, too. The new Tamriel Tome offers free and premium reward tracks featuring collectibles, currencies and items such as the Maarselok Slayer Mammoth mount. The Gold Coast Bazaar has also refreshed its selection of returning rewards, while seasonal events include the Witches Festival, Whitestrake’s Mayhem and the New Life Festival.

More content will arrive as the season progresses, including Skyrim- and Nowhere Vault-themed Golden Pursuits campaigns. Update 52, scheduled for January 19, will bring quality-of-life improvements such as increased furnishing limits for select homes, expanded Companion customization options and a new minimap interface option.

For players eager to revisit Skyrim while waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6, Echoes of Skyrim offers a convenient excuse to return to the province — or explore it for the first time — without paying extra for Greymoor or Wolfhunter. The new season is live now and runs through January.
