Rumours of an upcoming Nintendo Direct are starting to pick up speed, and a new retail listing suggests that a pretty significant Ubisoft game could be heading to Switch 2 very soon.
According to a listing from French retailer E.Leclerc, the Switch 2 will be getting an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced themed ‘Advanced Pro Wireless Controller’ on 22nd September 2026. Curious, huh?
Now, an erroneous listing for a software title is one thing, but the page for the controller contains an image of the accessory in question, and yes, it’s adorned with Black Flag imagery. It seems pretty legit to us.
Check it out:

Black Flag Resynced was conspicuously missing from the Switch 2 upon its initial release on 9th July 2026; a decision from Ubisoft made all the more baffling considering the fact that Assassin’s Creed Shadows runs quite well on Nintendo’s console.
Many folks believe that a Direct is heading our way on 10th September – amusingly, thanks to a social media post from Ubisoft – so it’s entirely possible that a Black Flag Resynced port could be announced there. That is, if it doesn’t happen beforehand.
If the game isn’t coming to Switch 2 at all, producing a themed controller seems particularly bizarre and, well, kinda cruel. Let’s keep our eyes peeled.
