Over a decade after the original was released, we’re finally getting a sequel to Until Dawn. This one’s being made internally at PlayStation, by Firesprite instead of by Supermassive, and it’s planned for January 2027, with pre-orders coming on September 10.
Until Dawn 2 seems to take place primarily around a reality TV show called Dead True with a bunch of young contestants all in a tropical setting together, perhaps not unlike Survivor. There’s a charismatic host, a director who doesn’t seem to have much of a spine, and a “medium” there to conduct sacrifices and rituals, albeit a bit reluctantly when it comes to slaying a chicken.
