When is the next PUBG update? There are very few battle royale games, or any games for that matter, that have a history like PUBG. The first BR that truly broke out, it almost single-handedly created an entirely new genre, and it’s hard to think about the gaming landscape without the shooter-with-the-ever-closing-circle now.
If you haven’t played PUBG for a while, logging on might give you a bit of a fright. Menus look completely different, events are constant, but thankfully, the actual game remains more or less the same. There are new weapons and PUBG maps, of course, but it’s all about avoiding the zone and putting your enemies to the sword.
PUBG update schedule
PUBG updates generally adhere to a two-month schedule, with some, like the March update, being incremental patches rather than full ones. We know from the 41.1 patch notes that the next major PUBG update will be released in June 2026.
Here is every PUBG patch released in 2026:
- 41.1 – April 2026
- 40.2 – March 2026
- 40.1 – February 2026
- 39.2 – January 2026
Latest PUBG patch
Patch 41.1 brought with it an entirely new game mode, Xeno Point. This is a co-operative PvE experience that pits you and yours against an alien invasion, fighting off waves of enemies as you attempt to reach the Mothership.
The latest PUBG patch also added two new attachments: Hybrid Scope and Tilted Grip, as well as a new Emergency Support Flare that can call in care packages. The Jammer Pack has also been expanded to include level one and three versions – the latter can only be found in care packages.
Enemy Blue Chips can now be turned in at Blue Chip Towers to gain access to supply drops, and Erangel is now home to destructible terrain. There was also a Stellar Blade crossover.
