A 2025 PS5 remake of a surprise hit 1999 PS1 adventure game is 60% off on the PS Store in a limited-time deal. Developed by Microids, Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy‘s design is based on a 1986 comic strip by Benoît Sokal. Its original release was a commercial success.

PS5 players can grab Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy for $15.99 until July 2, following which it’ll revert to $39.99. This is the lowest price point for the game thus far.
As for what the game’s all about, you’ll step into the role of a young journalist who has been tasked with traveling to a land far away to retrieve an important item.
“Your goal is to bring back the last egg of the mythical Great White Birds. According to legend, they are bound up with the fate of the only country they call home: a land with strange, dangerous plants and wildlife that has been devastated by years of bloody dictatorship,” the plot reads.
If you’ve previously played Amerzone’s limited-time demo and still have the save file, you can transfer it to the full game.
